The Itinerary: A Journey Through Time and Earth
- Departure: Board our modern, comfortable tour vehicle from your selected Reykjavik pick-up location, meet your expert guide, and head out into the scenic Icelandic countryside.
- Stop 1: Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park: Step into a UNESCO World Heritage site where history and geology collide. Walk through the dramatic rift valley created by the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drifting apart. This is also the historic cradle of Iceland, where the world's oldest ongoing parliament (Alþingi) was founded by Viking clans in 930 AD.
- Stop 2: Geysir Geothermal Area: Feel the geothermal heartbeat of the planet. Wander past bubbling mud cauldrons and hissing steam vents to watch the hyperactive geyser Strokkur erupt with dramatic force, blasting boiling water up to 30 meters into the air every 5 to 10 minutes.
- Stop 3: Gullfoss Waterfall: Stand on the edge of the magnificent "Golden Falls." Watch in awe as the massive Hvítá glacial river violently plunges down two tiers (11 and 22 meters deep) into a rugged, roaring canyon gorge.
- Midday Recharge: Take a designated break at a local countryside restaurant or the Gullfoss café to buy lunch, sample traditional Icelandic meat soup, or grab a coffee at your own leisure.
- Return: Enjoy a relaxing drive back to Reykjavik, returning you safely to your original pick-up point or cruise terminal.
